Well there are a number of one stop shops to quickly read all of your custom selected information. Your first option is to customize a page at Yahoo, Google, or Pageflakes to name but a few. These are not bad options but there is a better way. Another option is to use a feed reader. There are many feed readers available for free. Some of these feed readers are a small program that loads on your computer, and others are web bases. My personal favorite is Google Reader. I like it because of it’s easy interface, and the fact that it is web based allowing me to read all my news feeds from anywhere I have an internet connection…even on my cell phone. Have you seen this logo on the internet?
This means that the content on that site can be read by your feed reader, and you can view the most recent content posted to that site without having to look through the whole website. This works particularly well for blogs and news sites that are continually adding content. Most often you can just click on the orange logo and it will give you the option to add it to your feed reader. Hope this gives you a great tool! |
